Point of view
The book has stayed in third person up until the end, it makes it very easy to keep track of multiple people and ideas going around.
Setting
The boys are still on a tropical desert island, they have been on this island the entire book.
Writing Style
The author uses a very straightforward
writing style but keeps the book very interesting.
Theme
I believe the theme of this novel is the loss of innocence and the darkness that is inside all of us which comes out only when we are most desperate.
Notes
The author ended the novel on a very
dark note.
