Characters

No new characters have been introduced.

Point of view

The story has not changed from third person point of view. Reading the story in third person makes it very easy for you to keep track of all the characters in the story.

Setting
The setting is still a deserted island in the middle of the ocean. It is a lush tropical haven upon which the boys flourish in their self made society. They setting has not changed because the boys have not been rescued so they still reside on the island.

Writing Style
The author writes in a very realistic way showing how real people would act in a situation like this.

Theme

The theme of the story I believe is loss of innocence of the children and the darkness inside . They are slowly becoming more savage as time goes on. By this point in the book, the children have became so dark and it is as though they do not know what they are going.

Notes

The story is getting increasingly darker as time goes on.
