Part 3 “The Victor” Chapter19-Chpater

Synopsis

Katniss finds Peeta. He was cut badly after helping Katniss escape the Careers. Katniss can’t cure Peeta's wound. The Game makers announce that will be held to draw the tributes together for crucial supplies, she tricks Peeta and heads to the feast. Than the medicine cures Peeta, and they spend more time in the cave. Until the Game makers dry up their water supplies. They prepare themselves and head out to face Cato, the only other surviving tribute. But their main challenge is not to be Cato. There are something likes the wolf-man unleashed by the Game makers. Katniss and Peeta escape by climbing to higher ground. And finally, Katniss kills the tribute with her arrow out of mercy. They have won the Games, but the Game makers rescind the rule about dual victors. Peeta and Katniss threaten to commit dual suicide and they are hence awarded a dual victory. When all is done, they head back to District 12.

Character introduced

Katniss- She is the game winner. She got the idea to threaten the Game maker and make her and Peeta survive from the game.

Peeta- He is another game winner. He is kind and loyal, and he becomes Katniss’s love interest and main ally.

Cato- He is the last tribute. He was fall down into the wolf- man group. And Katniss killed he with her arrow out of mercy.

Point of view

It writes in the 1^st person and 3^rd person. It makes the novel complete and simple to the reader. Make the story very visual.

Setting

They are fight at the Cornucopia. After Katniss and Peeta win the game, they take the train to go back District 12.

Notable about the writer’s style

The writers use the simply words to present the novel. And use some strong words to show the mood and feel. This novel is the fiction book.

Statement of themes

The novel is full of acts of defiance against the Capitol. The most significant acts of defiance come from Katniss. Decorating Rue’s body after her death directly violates the spirit of the Hunger Games. Capitol wants tributes show no mercy for one another. Katniss’s idea for her and Peeta to threaten suicide with the berries shows that they will not accept the Game makers’ rules.
