Lord of the flies 1^st quarter

POINTS

·         Boys crash on what seems to be a deserted island

·         They meet a chubby boy named Piggy

·         The fair haired guy introduces himself as Ralph

·         The boys are English

·         Boys got separated and could not find the pilot (adults)

·         Ages range from 6-12

·         They voted Ralph to be the leader of the group

CHARACTER INTRODUCTION

Protagonist- Ralph who was chosen to be the leader of the boys is only 12 years old.

Antagonist-  Jack who isn’t scared to speak his mind.

Round character- Piggy/Fat boy helps people to be on Ralph's side.

POINT OF VIEW

The story was written in third person, the way he tells the story, makes it easier for people to understand what he is saying.  It gives the reader a more full understanding of ALL aspects of the conflict.

SETTING

The story takes place on an island with no adults, no food/water, they are trying to think of how to survive.

THEME

At this point in the story I believe that teamwork/team building is a major tool to help these kids survive.
