Lord of the flies Quarter #1

Synopsis

An air plane crash lands on an Island and a group of young boys become stranded. In the beginning Ralph and Piggy find a large conch shell. Ralph uses the conch shell as a horn with the intention of signalling the other survivors. More boys come, including a choir of boys with the leader of the choir, Jack. After discussion the realize that they will need a leader if there is no adults to lead. They take a vote between Jack and Ralph and Ralph wins with most votes and is mad. Ralph ends up making Jack the hunting group leader and that seems to satisfy him for the time being. They end up exploring the island and find a mountain and set up camp.

Characters-

Ralph – Protagonist,Round character,Fair/Reasonable
Jack- Antagonist. Round Character, Huge Ego,Stubborn, Leadership trait, dislikes Ralph
Simon -Flat Character
Sam – Flat Character

Point of view-

The story is written in the third person. It makes it easier to follow all of the events and characters that are in the story.

Setting-

The story takes place on a desert island where a plane has crashed. There is a young group of children and that makes the story pretty interesting because of how young they are.

Notes-

- Children are generally worry free
- Author uses realism in the communication of the children

Theme-

The theme of the story I believe is loss of innocence of the children. They are slowly becoming more savage as time goes on.
