Character sketch*4

Ralph  He is a twelve-year-old from England. He has fair hair and is very tall and thin. He is the leader of the group of boys. Ralph is the conscious boy who knows both what to do and what is the most important.(ex. The signal fire).
Ralph is a round character and the protagonist in the novel. He is the chief of the boys on the island at the beginning of the novel. He has an organized mind. He announces the rules and delegates the work to the boys. Ralph's rules makes the boys and their daily life in order. Ralph also focuses on being rescued. He and the boys light the fire as a survival sign so someone can save them when the ships pass by. In the second part of the novel as Jack becoming more powerful. Ralph's position as chief is snatched by Jack who represents the savage. Ralph's group seem to be sorehead even though Ralph still represents civilization and intellect. At the end of the novel, although Ralph is rescued. Ralph cries and is sad after seeing the evil of the human and the changes in the boys.
Jack -->
He is one of the older boys who are stranded on the island. He is tall, thin and bony, red hair and always wear a black cap. His face is ugly. He has good leadership skills but he takes the wrong turns, uses evil means to get what he wants.
Jack is a dynamic character and the antagonist in the novel. He is the leader of the hunters at first. The first time, Jack hunts a pig, he was not able to kill it. He becomes obsessed with hunting. Jack represents savagery, violence and is bloodthirsty. He does not like Ralph as the leader, Jack wants to be the leader. He becomes increasingly wild, barbaric and cruel as the novel progresses. Later, Jack forms a savage tribe and many boys join his group. He fights against Ralph and Piggy. At the end of the novel, Jack even controls the boys to hunt Ralph. Ralph is opposite to Ralph, he is savage, uncivilized and cruel.
